festival-te software package provides festival text to speech synthesizer for Telugu (te) language, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install festival-te
festival-te is installed in your system.
Make ensure the festival-te package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep festival-te *
You will get with festival-te package name, version, architecture and description in a table
